Intensive Courses

The instructors at DrivingLessonsGlasgow.com have years of experience of teaching people on an Intensive or Semi-Intensive basis. We specialise in getting pupils to driving test standard as quickly and as thoroughly as possible. We work through a very structured course which includes training in all the manoeuvres, all aspects of road procedure and mock driving tests around the test centre of your choice.

Intensive Driving Courses

We can provide intensive driving courses for people who wish to complete their all their driving lessons over 1-2 weeks.

With intensive driving courses it is important to remember that there may be a waiting time for each of the theory test (approx 2 weeks) and practical driving test (approx 5 weeks), so you should make sure that you have booked these well in advance. These waiting times may vary throughout the year, and are the responsibility of the DVSA rather than DrivingLessonsGlasgow.com.

Semi-Intensive Driving Courses

The four week semi-intensive course is also a good and effective way to learn to drive as pupils are out in the car several times in a week. It is the frequency of the lessons that makes them very effective as pupils can build up their confidence out on the road and there are not big time gaps between the lessons. This can make it quite a cost effective way of doing it as there is much less time spent recapping subjects that are perhaps forgotten from one week to the next.

If you already have some driving experience then the four week course would also be beneficial as we will build on your previous knowledge and tailor a course to suit your needs.

Our experienced Driving Instructors will be able to provide the type of course that suits. Below are some examples of the varying levels of Semi-Intensive Driving Courses:

  • 2 x 1½ hour driving lessons per week
  • 2 x 2 hour driving lessons per week

You must have passed the DVSA Theory Test, and be able to present your Theory Certificate to your instructor.

A non-refundable deposit of £200 is required to book your intensive driving course.

In all cases, the full balance must be paid no less than 1 week before the course starts.

To protect the test fee you have paid, your instructor will assess your chance of successfully passing your practical driving test one week before your test date.
